Window Screens
There is There is no such thing as a standard window screen! That is why we custom build all of our window screens. Prices are based on size, so if you’d like a price quote, be sure to have the size before you call.
Aluminum Screen and Window can re-screen an old, unbent window screen frame. If your window screen has bent or broken sides, it will actually cost more for us to repair it, so we will build a new window screen. Don’t throw out that old screen though, because the easiest way for us to get the correct size is to measure your old screen, even if it’s mangled. We’ll take the measurements and get you a new one built in just a couple of days. We even recycle the old screen!
You have several choices on the type of window screening options including standard fiberglass, aluminum wire, and pet screen. We have screen samples in our showroom and our staff will happily go over the pros and cons of each material.
Bringing in your own measurements?
It is important to be precise when building new window screens to ensure a proper fit and function. If you’d like to bring in measurements for us to work off of, please be aware that in addition to accurate width and height measurements, we will need a frame thickness (or depth) dimension. Standard window screen frame thicknesses are 5/16”, 3/8”, and 7/16”. We will also ask you about any hardware on the screen, such as moon springs and pull tabs. These do provide an essential function in screen fit, and we encourage you to take note of the hardware on your screen rather than just leave it off. We also carry three window screen frame colors: Aluminum (or Mill Finish), Bronze, or White.
Need several screens and want a bid?
We can come to your house and measure your screens for no additional charge, provided that you order 4 or more screens. If you want delivery & installation after they are completed, we charge $60 for that service. Otherwise, screens are will-called at our shop.
